I wanted to congratulate The Rabbit Sanctuary volunteers who made the Finals and to thank Priya for all her hard work involved in rounding us all up and encouraging us to enter the various categories as well as writing up the submissions. I know there was at least one “all nighter” for Priya as I couldn’t sleep either knowing she was slaving away into the early hours of the morning on her laptop.

Refuel Digital Technology Award: The Rabbit Sanctuary

A big thank you to Gertraud Denscher for her thousands of hours of database development work with Kim to produce our new “Bunny Tracker” system.

There were ten categories in the Jetpets Companion Animal Rescue Awards. There were more than 1000 entries!

Cathy Beer, founder of the awards said they were delighted to see rabbits and other animals (she means apart from dogs and cats) represented in the Finalists this year!

“The judges were moved by remarkable stories of resilience and human-animal bond. The entries are an inspiration to rescue organisations to continue their efforts in saving and rehoming companion animals,” said Cathy.

The winners will be revealed at a virtual Rescue Awards Ceremony at 4pm 15 October 2020.
